Mott Community College

MCC's primary mission is to serve the residents of the 21 schools districts in Genesee County. MCC's programs are designed specifically to meet the needs of this area and the College continually works with area business, labor, government and other educational institutions to see that our programs reflect the current needs of the community we serve.

MCC offers over 100 different Academic and Occupational Programs designed to meet local educational and career needs. Get into the workforce as soon as possible or improve your skills. MCC's career programs can prepare you for the high-demand jobs.

MCC provides the total college experience for students. We have dozens of clubs, activities and sports teams. In fact, MCC has the only competitive college level athletic program in Genesee County. If you are planning to go on for a bachelor's degree you can arrange to transfer credits to any college or university in Michigan (and most in America).

Insurance Certificate Program

The insurance industry is looking for trained workers to hire, and in response, Mott has developed a one-year Insurance Certificate Program. The first insurance specific class offering will be Insurance 101 (INSU-101), an introductory overview of the Insurance industry with a study in health, life, and disability theory including, but not limited to, the function of Insurance Companies, Brokers, Agents, and support staff in providing various types of insurance to their clients. This course explores automotive, personal property and real property policies. It will be held at the main Campus in Flint.
